Staybridge Suites Phoenix - Biltmore Area by IHG

Breakfast was good, though I'd have preferred real scrambled eggs to the frozen omelettes. The room was spotless and had everything I needed, plus a bit more. The GM checked me in, was courteous, and made sure I had what I needed. I ran out of time to try the hot tub, maybe next time. I'd definitely recommend the place.

We often stay here when we're in Phoenix for doctor appointments, and the downtown location is really convenient. Rooms have always been very clean, and there's a good range of breakfast items every morning. On longer visits, the free washers and dryers are a big help. The staff are consistently friendly and professional. We also love the outdoor area with its gas fire pit, pool, jacuzzi, and grills. I'd definitely recommend it.

The Staybridge room was newer, nicer, and larger than the older Holiday Inn room, and freeway access was excellent without the noise I expected. We spent 10 days in PHX, split between five days at Holiday Inn Scottsdale North and this Staybridge near Biltmore. The front desk staff were exceptional, and Irvnine deserves a shout out for handling the walk through the day before and the upgrade. Housekeeping was the weak point. Nobody came in to empty our trash or replace the coffee during our stay. On the last night, I heard two housemen outside around 10am and assumed the room would be serviced while we were out. I had also asked the morning desk to tell housekeeping they could enter. When we came back around 3pm with family visitors, it still hadn't been done. I asked the desk again for towels and coffee; he said he'd call to see if anyone was still working, and a guy arrived several minutes later. He seemed annoyed by the late call at 3:30pm and didn't explain why no one had come by. Maybe the local property needs better attitude or training. Lighter housekeeping most days is fine, but not even taking out the trash other guests left outside the room was too much. IHG should be better than this, so it seems like a local issue.

Tasha made our arrival and booking so easy. Another hotel had said my husband's passport, the one we flew into Arizona with, showed a different name and wouldn't let us complete the booking, even under my name. Tasha scanned the passport and everything was sorted out. I'd definitely trust this place for bookings from out of town. Thank you, Tasha, and highly recommend!
