After 14 straight hours working outside on signs and lighting for the local Taco Bell, my two coworkers and I just wanted showers and sleep. My door was broken and wouldn't latch, so you could push it open and it hit the wall hard. One coworker said he heard me leave in the morning. The shower had barely any pressure, and there was no hot water, just a cold drip. It took 30 minutes to get halfway clean. The other two guys had just as bad a night. The one good thing was the canned Cokes in the lobby, which I never see, and the guy at the front desk gave them to me. Thanks to him.

I've stayed at many Holiday Inn Express locations for work, and this was easily my worst experience. The room smelled like a locker room, and staff refused to do anything when I reported it. Breakfast was nearly inedible, and the property itself is in a poor location. Check-in was difficult from the start. Staff questioned my government ID and gave me unnecessary pushback over booking at the government rate. Before I left, I asked for a call from the manager. It's now been two days since checkout with no follow-up. The lack of professionalism and accountability is unacceptable. Holiday Inn Express usually provides a consistently adequate stay, but this Picayune, Mississippi location is a glaring exception. I strongly recommend avoiding it.

The staff were friendly and the accommodations were great. One thing to know is that it's near train tracks. A loud whistle and passing train were easy to hear late in the evening and early in the morning. It kept me from falling asleep, though it didn't wake me up. We were only there one night, so maybe that was a one-off. If we'd stayed longer, I would've asked about that loud train coming through in the middle of the night, like the scene in My Cousin Vinny. :D There were also construction crews staying at the hotel during our visit. They were up and leaving at 5:30 am, shutting loud doors. Keep that in mind if you're not an early riser.

I stayed with my parents Friday and Saturday. The woman at the front desk was so sweet and down to earth, and I enjoyed talking with her. Her name was Casey or Kathy. Just wanted to give her a shout-out!

We came from Katy Tx and had a wonderful time staying here with the family. The staff were very helpful, and I was really pleased with the stay. Definitely coming back if we pass through!
