The lobby seemed clean and fine when we arrived Friday evening, but our room had a terrible smell. Within minutes, we were dealing with a huge flying bug, and another showed up shortly after. There weren't even tissues in the room, so Dad used one from our Chipotle meal to catch them. Later, I noticed black specks on the bed and a snot-like mark on the blanket. I felt itchy once I got in, though maybe that was just nerves. The shower worked well and the temperature was easy to adjust. The towels, though, smelled awful, had hairs on them, and left me feeling dirtier than before. There were hairs in the sink too. At breakfast, I skipped the eggs because they put me off. I tried cereal instead, but the milk tasted sour and I nearly threw up. We stayed out all day and came back to sleep, then left the next morning without eating breakfast. I only saw one housekeeping worker the whole time. We'd picked this place for a weekend in Columbus because it looked good from outside, and I hadn't checked the reviews first. I still don't know how I stayed after all that. My main complaints were bugs in the room, bad smells, hair in the bathroom, and milk that seemed expired. The breakfast smell was unpleasant to me too, though that part could have just been my impression.

I’ve stayed in hotels around the world, and in our view the Comfort Inn deserves a five-star rating. The staff were awesome, the rooms were clean, and everything worked. It should be rated much higher. Keep up the good work!

The fridge barely worked, and I kept finding more things to complain about, so I won't spend longer on this. After driving seven hours from NC, my wife cleaned the tub with Clorox and filled it to use the jacuzzi. The jets didn't work, and we couldn't get the tub to hold water. Andy called maintenance, but the fix was just taking the stopper out, so after that we couldn't plug it at all. This was the worst hotel I've stayed in. We came looking for a deal, and now I see why it cost less than the other places nearby. They should pay me to stay here. Find another place to sleep. At least I do have somewhere to stay while I'm here, but so much for saving a buck in this economy. I only gave it one star because the site wouldn't let me post zero.

I've stayed here every year for five years, but this visit may be my last. The room itself was very clean, though the tray under the ice bucket had hair and cup stains, as if it had been missed more than once. I also found a huge hole where the door lock should catch, along with the deadbolt. I pointed both things out at the desk. The man just thanked me and didn't offer another room. Check-in was rude from the start. The front desk guy told me nothing, handed my ID back abruptly, and walked off before I'd gathered my keys. He'd only made them work for one night even though my stay was three. The hotel was sold out the next day because of the Luke Combs concert and much of Columbus was booked too, or I would've left. A different desk clerk was nicer and fixed the keys for the rest of my stay, but I don't feel comfortable coming back with that door.

For $80 a night, I expected better. The first room reeked of cigarette smoke, so we were moved, but the next one was just as bad in a different way: dirty, disgusting, and moldy. My husband spotted a long black hair on a supposedly fresh towel, and the towels felt like cheap polyester. The hallways and elevator smelled strongly of marijuana. I'd give it zero if I could.
