Best Western Plus Greenville South

That king bed felt like sleeping right on the floor, and the air conditioning wasn't working properly. Light came through the window curtains because there was no blind behind them. The room was outdated and had an old smell that just wouldn't go away. I won't stay there again. Hope that helps.

Some of the bathroom was unclean, but after a full day at a conference and the mess at check-in, I was exhausted and cleaned it myself. I'd booked through Booking.com, but when I got to the hotel, the reservation details were completely different, and I had to pay upfront for each day. On my last day, the front desk employee was rude and didn't know how to take payment.

We went to bed late and slept badly. The room was damp and smelly, and the cover-up scent was strong in both rooms. The second room had no mold that we could see, but the tile grout was missing, and the caulking around the tub and toilet looked badly done. In the first room there was black mold all around the tub and shower, no shower curtain, and a phone that kept blinking. When I called downstairs about the phone, they told me to put a towel over it so we couldn't see it blinking. The hallways smelled musty, too. We had been pleased when we first pulled in: the hotel looked great, the lobby was nice, and a friendly young man greeted us. It felt like a facade once we saw the rooms. The desk clerk gave us a replacement room across the hall after I complained, but by then the place had us creeped out. This was a terrible stay. These people should be reported to the health department. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. It's an outdated slum hotel.

The best thing about this location is breakfast, and parking was fine. But the room was damp and musty with a peculiar smell, and the bathroom had loose or broken tiles. The shower head was loose, so it was hard to get hot water. Its thin fabric curtain didn't stop water from flooding the floor, which likely contributes to the loose tiles. We've had a pleasant stay at another BW Plus in Greenville before, with no complaints, but this BW Plus Greenville South didn't come close to that standard. It's a shame, but we won't return to this location, and I wouldn't recommend it.
