Comfort Inn Pine Bluff

The room came with everything we needed: a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and a well supplied bathroom. For the price, the amenities make this a class act. My one complaint was the smell. I'm a non-smoker, and the carpet made me think the room may once have been used for smoking. Apart from that, it was great.

The room itself was clean and up to date, but the building had a strange smell throughout. The hallways and stairs also seemed a little run down.

The breakfast attendant was lovely and made sure everyone was taken care of before heading out. I wish the rest of the stay had gone as well. Check-in was quick, but even though I booked here because it showed pets were allowed, we were told our certified service animal wasn't allowed. We had just moved across the country, so her papers were in the trailer. I offered to pay the pet fee to get to our room, and the desk worker gave us keys, then took them back to move us to a pet room. If pets weren't allowed, I don't understand the room switch. Before getting back on the road the next morning, we were hanging out in the room when someone walked in without any notice. I was on the toilet. I went out to find someone to talk to, but nobody was available. Another guest was also there trying unsuccessfully to get a hair dryer. The lobby smelled like weed, and it seemed like we interrupted the night clerk's special "zaza" time. I usually seek out Choice hotels when I book, so this was disappointing.

We needed a place that same day after weather damaged the pipes at the hotel we originally booked and left it without hot water. Quality Inn took our reservation, and the young woman working Thursday evening was very kind. I can't remember her name, but she found us a first-floor room so I wouldn't have to climb stairs while recovering from ankle ORIF surgery. We had reserved a double, and the room was nice for a last-minute check-in. It had a TV, refrigerator, and microwave, though it could use more lights because it was a bit dark. The heating and air were on a console under the window. The bathroom was so small that the sink was in the bedroom area, and the sink had a crack.
