Executive Inn Pine Bluff

I'm stuck here for the night, and I really wish I were home. The pillows were disgusting, and the bedding in my non-smoking room had cigarette holes. After I changed into my pajamas, I had to kill a wasp, then I shook out the sheets and found a couple of tiny spiders in the bed. The remote isn't programmed, so I can't even get the TV off mute. Terrible.

The occasional sketchy person in the parking lot caught my eye, but I never felt frightened. For our family of four, it was an okay place to stay for 12 weeks. The room smelled fresh when we came in, and I never saw any bugs. The housekeepers were helpful whenever I needed something. If you're picky, though, I'd steer clear.

There aren't many amenities, and people usually come and go at all hours. This isn't a place I'd bring kids, young or old. The rooms have recently been remodeled and are still nice. It was good for what it was meant for.

I called the night before my grandfather's funeral and explained that I planned to arrive around 8 a.m. so we could change clothes before the 10 a.m. service. The woman on the phone said it would be no problem and took my name. But when I got there, the man at the desk refused to give me the room early. He said I had to wait until 11 and, when I tried to explain about the funeral, told me to get out. I never expected to be treated that way. He showed no compassion at all. If zero stars were an option, that's what I'd give.
