Valley Trail Inn

After hiking at Watkins Glenn on our drive up from VA, we needed a place to sleep before continuing on to Niagra. Booking was easy, and the person who answered the phone was lovely and easy to talk with. The room was spotless, updated, and nice, and the bed gave us the best sleep. The split HVAC kept the room cool, and the bathroom was clean with all the amenities we needed. There was a boil water advisory during our stay, so we couldn’t drink the water or use it to brush our teeth. They left two huge packs of bottled water in the room to make up for it, around 24 or 48 bottles total, I think. The place was well lit and quiet, and a welcome rest after the hike and drive. Thanks for the great service!

It brought back memories of traveling with my parents and staying at Motel 6 back when a night really cost $6. Valley Trail Inn is spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with no frills. I found it more pleasant than the budget chains and a better value than the other hotel chains. Glad to support an independent business.

Room 404 was spotless and seemed newly remodeled. There wasn’t breakfast available, but the room did have a small coffee pot.

As a Canadian traveling solo, I felt safe here. It’s clean, renovated, affordable, and well located, with easy check-in and checkout. The lighting by the rooms is good, and it’s convenient to park right in front of your room. I hope to return.
