Sea Garden Inn Pismo Beach- San Luis Obispo

The room was tiny, the bed was awful, and there was a strange smell. We booked for two adults but were given just one small towel, and there wasn’t a fan. You get what you pay for, I guess. Spend a few more dollars for a better room and stay.

I came here before a middle school site visit for our awards program, with an atmospheric river bringing heavy wind and rain. Sleeping in my car would’ve been miserable, so this warm, quiet, safe little inn was just what I needed. I’m not usually a motel person, but this place was charming and comfortable. My room was cute, clean, and cozy, with a microwave and refrigerator. It’s on the beach in Pismo Beach, and I still can’t figure out why Google Maps gives it one star. If you want a comfortable, affordable place to sleep, don’t let that rating put you off.

The rooms were reasonably clean, but the bed was really uncomfortable, and the carpet on the upstairs stairs was torn, so watch your step. The TV wouldn’t work, and neither would the hair dryer. When I told the front desk at checkout, he asked why I hadn’t called him. Both items simply didn’t work. I won’t stay here again.

The location is quiet and very close to the beach. My room was spacious and clean, and everyone was so kind. They went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and had what I needed.
