A Grand View Lodge #540

The cabin itself was a great place to spend time, and we had incredible mountain views. We also enjoyed things to do in downtown Gatlinburg, especially the moonshine. This is an awesome cabin, probably worth a million dollars or more.

Both cabins had beautiful views and looked appealing, with plenty of space and a cozy feel. But the first one had no heat on the lower level even after it had been running for half a day. We told the property manager and were told someone would come fix it, but no one showed up. We called again close to midnight, and eventually moved to another cabin up the road. Packing everything again was a pain, especially the food we'd bought. Then we found the room we stayed in had an awful Asian beetle infestation. They were piled on the floor and crawling on the bathroom mirror, windows, ceiling fan, and elsewhere. Another family member paid for the cabin, so I don't know exactly what it cost, but I'm sure it wasn't cheap. This is what I'd expect from a two star motel, not a luxury cabin.

During happy hour one evening, mama bear and her four Cubs joined us from a safe distance, lol. We hired “Chef Ray” to cook a meal at the house, and highly recommend him too. The home is stunning, with a view that the pictures don't do justice to. We picked it for those views and the private bathroom in every room. It's a great size, and having ample parking was a plus.

Every time we go to the cabins, I have a great time. Fun, fun, fun!!!
