Cajun Spice - Two Bedroom Cabin

The mountain views are incredible, which makes the condition of the house and the lack of service all the more disappointing. The road up is steep, and in winter weather you'd need 4x4 or chains. Gatlinburg is a 20-25 minute drive, so getting there isn't convenient. The home has a combined great room and kitchen, and a huge back deck. But the hot tub cover was broken and very difficult to remove and replace. It was listed as having two bathrooms, but the 'master bath' is really a closet converted into a tiny shower and toilet. You can barely turn around in the shower, and the sink has been fitted onto a dresser in the bedroom. There's almost no closet space, so expect to leave clothes in suitcases or pile them on chairs. The loft is just a bed and a chair, with nowhere to put anything. None of the windows stay open, so one had to be propped with a toilet plunger. The other bedroom has no bathroom of its own, and its bathroom is the main one downstairs. There were no potholders for cooking. The steps down to the river were rotted, and the deck there had holes. The linens were old and the pillows threadbare and nearly flat, so we bought pillows after the first night. There was no internet or phone service at all. We called the office several times, but nothing was fixed, and that caused us issues. I wouldn't rent it again, which is a shame because the views are incredible. The pictures show the shower with only 2.5 tiles of room up to the toilet, the sink on the bedroom dresser, rotten boards and holes by the river, and windows held open with plungers.
