Greenbrier Estate

I officiate weddings all over the Great Smoky Mountains, and Greenbrier Estates is now my favorite venue. I worked a beautiful Valentine's Day wedding here with Black Dress Weddings, and the mountain views, reception and dining space, and room for dancing and activities were incredible. There was plenty of space and seating for around 70 guests, with the DJ booth, catering, and bartending stations all set up. The property was immaculate, and staff kept it clean and the restrooms stocked. Trev, the owner and DJ, was professional, fun, and knew how to get everyone dancing. The venue has indoor and outdoor areas, heating and air, and groom and bridal rooms. I was shuttled to the top, which would have been an easy walk, but it was considerate for people who may have disabilities. I can’t think of a single negative. I’m booked here again in a few months and am excited to return. There are plenty of venues around, but don’t overlook this one. If you can book Trevor as the DJ, he brings everything together in ways you might not have thought of. Kudos, Greenbrier. The views and the venue made for a beautiful wedding, and Melanie and Trev are kind people who really care about the couple and their guests. We had a great day, and I would recommend the place, though I’d hire a different coordinator. The setup felt disorganized to me. We were allowed to rehearse the night before and bring our decorations, but chairs and decor were still being set up while we were taking pictures. We’d explained what we wanted and it came together, but I wish it had been ready the night before or earlier that morning. A friend had to remind them about some signs, and my husband’s heaven photos were forgotten even though I’d put them in a binder and was told frames would be provided. The day-of coordinator left a lot to be desired. They coordinated the ceremony, but keeping to time didn’t seem to be a priority while setup was still happening. It seemed like they needed more help. I understand someone was out for medical reasons, but more help was still needed.

A caterer recommended Melanie’s venue as one of her two favorites to work with in the area, after the venue we’d first been considering suggested that caterer. I’m glad I found them that way. From our first call, Melanie was on top of things, followed through, suggested great vendors, and was responsive and attentive while helping us from a distance. Anything we were stressed about, she and the team at the Venue at Greenbrier Estate took care of. Thanks so much for everything.
