Days Inn by Wyndham Pittsburg KS

The beds were very comfortable and the price was reasonable, but the service around the problems was disappointing. Check-in took a long time even though I'd already checked in online. The tub drained so slowly it took half an hour after a shower, and on the second morning the toilet was clogged and wouldn't flush before we'd even used it. The ice machine was broken too. I told the front desk about the plumbing and suggested maintenance check room 104 before the next guests arrived. She said she'd tell housekeeping, but didn't apologize or respond otherwise.

It was quiet and clean, so the room was okay for the price, and they had a handicap-accessible room at the special rate. There was a coffee maker but no coffee, cream, or sugar. Breakfast was basic: waffles and syrup without butter, cereal and milk, and one kind of yogurt. The gravy with the biscuits was so salty I couldn't eat them.

We only needed a place to sleep, so it worked out, but the pet-friendly room smelled really strong and wasn't very clean. I know what pets do isn't under the hotel's control, but cleaning up afterward is.

A clean, fresh-smelling room was my main concern, and this place delivered. It was nice and clean, the staff were really friendly, and the location put me close to everything. Good value for the money. If you're picky, you may want to pay $150+ a night somewhere else, but for me this was great.
