CozySuites - Press House

The suite was meant to have a bed and a pullout couch, but there was no pullout couch for my son. The elevator was broken, yet they put us on the seventh floor, and the washing machine leaked all over the floor. When I called Cozy Suites, they initially offered me $50, but that still left my son without somewhere to sleep. The building is still being renovated, but the company keeps taking bookings to make money. I won't use them again.

Booking Cozy Suites through WhimStay was manageable, but I don't think I'd do it again. For security, they wait until two hours before arrival to send check-in details. I was driving in from more than two hours away, so showing up without the information was awkward. The elevator was out of order every day of my stay. Avoid this place if you or anyone with you can't manage stairs. Missing ceiling tiles in the lobby weren't reassuring. The refrigerator was clean, but the shower suggested some renovation work hadn't been done right. The portable air conditioner left the window partly open, and the cardboard panels provided to keep cool air in had been cut too small for the opening. The price was much lower than nearby options.

At $400 a night, this was a nightmare. There was no heat, no oven, and no locks on our door. Some art was broken or missing, greasy handprints were above the bed, and there were used Q-tips in the trash. We couldn't use the food we'd bought without an oven. When I contacted customer service, they offered $50. The place was disgusting and should be restricted until it's properly cleaned and cared for. You're better off at a no-tell motel.

My partner and I booked through AirBnb and spent 30 minutes trying to get into the apartment. They reset the door code five times before the last attempt finally worked. During the call I could hear the employee's farm in the background, chickens squawking and all. Inside, I immediately spotted a large sticky mouse trap that had been set, and one living room blind was broken. By Friday night there were several mouse droppings on the carpet. On our last night, we found droppings in the bed. The washer-dryer combo was also too small for anything bigger than one duvet. CozySuites support said they'd contacted maintenance, but nobody ever came. I'm waiting to see whether I get a full refund, though based on previous reviews, that seems unlikely.
