The Priory Hotel

A friend suggested we try The Priory after our usual Pittsburgh B&B was sold and repurposed. We’d been coming regularly from northern Ohio for midweek museum and restaurant visits, and what a find this was. The price is great, and the old sanctuary, now used as an events space, is stunning. The staff welcomed us, the room was swell, and the morning “box lunch” breakfast was just right. The “smallest bar in the Commonwealth” is charming, too. The Warhol is a 10-minute walk away, and The Mattress Factory and our favorite Thai restaurant on Western are very close. We’ll definitely be back.

We were in town for a football game and were glad we booked The Priory. The staff took great care of us, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. There’s also a shuttle to and from the stadium, which made the visit even easier. When I had car trouble, they kindly extended checkout so we could wait while it was being repaired. Everyone at the front desk was caring and accommodating. We’d book here again when we’re in the area.

The Priory gave us a wonderful experience. The room, food, and staff were all fantastic, and the hospitality, cleanliness, and friendly service are hard to beat. It’s hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Pittsburgh, and I’m tempted to say anywhere. Thanks for such a great stay!

The courtyard was a beautiful, peaceful spot to have coffee in the morning. Breakfast had good variety and tasted great, and the rooms were spotless, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in through checkout, and made me feel welcome. The Priory Hotel is a charming, unusual place to stay. Its past as a church and monastery shows in the architecture and details, giving the building a real sense of history. For a comfortable visit to Pittsburgh with warm hospitality and a memorable setting, I highly recommend it.
