Heart of the Berkshires

Our room and bathroom were both roomy and clean, and getting into the room was easy. The customer service was friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend this motel.

We were able to book three rooms for one night over graduation weekend, which was a real relief since other hotels were charging about twice their usual rate and requiring three-night stays. The rooms were clean and cozy, with fresh linens, very soft sheets, and no stale or smoky smell. We asked for extra blankets and slept comfortably. Check-in and checkout are self-service, so you’ll need a cell phone to get the entry code. Each room has its own space heater, and it takes a little figuring out to set the temperature. It’s an older, rustic budget motel, but it was very clean, and the staff responded quickly when we had questions. The basics were covered: coffee maker, microwave, Wi-Fi, TV, and refrigerator. It’s also close to Tanglewood and the other attractions we enjoy in the area.

It’s peaceful here, with a country feel. I heard lovely birds, and last night I spotted a little wild rabbit with brown fur and a bit of white on its tail. The grounds and rooms are beautiful, and there’s a fire pit in the backyard. The place is pet-friendly, with four dogs here. Alex, the owner, and the housekeeper are both very nice.
