Comfort Inn Plainfield - Indianapolis Airport

We stayed for a week, four women mostly over 50, including my mom, who uses a walker. The staff were nice, professional, and helpful, and the housekeeper always brought what we asked for. We never went without anything. My mother gets cold while I get hot, so even after they brought extra blankets, we needed another. The front desk kindly gave me one for her, and I made sure it was returned. There’s an indoor pool, guest laundry, and continental breakfast. Within walking distance are a 24-hour Macdonald, a Speedway gas station, Cracker Barrel, a Harley shop, and a restaurant where you can drink and hear music on weekends. There are about eight other hotels nearby, and this one is right by the interstate. Target and other shopping centers are around 15 minutes away. It felt very safe, and the hotel has working contracts, so people with that kind of arrangement stay there too. I did see people hanging around who might not have been up to any good, but they never bothered anyone, as far as I saw.

The room was filthy, and the shared areas weren’t much better. The towels looked like they’d been used by several people without being washed, the sheets were dirty, the carpet was shredded, and the room smelled like a sewer.

I had to switch from my original hotel because of problems there, and ended up at Comfort Inn. By the time I checked in it was 1 a.m., and I needed to be up at 6, so I slept in the room despite how unhygienic and unsafe it was. There were stains on the towels and blood. I called the next day to explain my concerns. The front desk said it should be clean now, but when I came back, it still wasn’t. I showed them several photos of the dirty room and all they offered was new towels, with just a “sorry to hear.” Don’t book here.

Our room was infested with ants, and the manager made excuses without offering any solutions. On the first night, the door into the room wouldn’t latch, and nobody fixed it until the next morning. The bathroom door also wouldn’t latch, and the adjoining-room door wouldn’t lock. The cleaners had left behind a wine cooler lid that our one-year-old found and put in his mouth. We also found another alcoholic bottle cap and a nose ring they’d left behind. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at.
