My Place Hotel - Indianapolis Airport/Plainfield, IN

We needed somewhere for a couple of nights while in town with our 60-pound dog, and the pet-friendly room was really nice, better than I expected. It even had a full-size fridge. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the rates compared well with other hotels nearby. I'd definitely recommend it.

The rooms were spotless and nicely kept, but the prices were a nasty surprise. Nobody told us the second night would cost twice as much. When we asked to stay one more night, they planned to add another $60 on top of that higher rate. I remember when a hotel gave you a price and stuck to it. This felt deceptive, and I'm very disappointed. Ask what each night will cost before you book, or you could get an ugly surprise.

For a fair price, we got a room that was better than expected and included a kitchen. Everything was clean and quiet, with plenty of useful places nearby. Denise at the front desk was welcoming and helpful when we arrived late after a long drive, even though we had no reservation, so check-in was easy. There's free hot coffee by reception all day and night, plus snacks, drinks, and ready meals for sale if you don't want to go out or wait for delivery. We were just passing through, but this seems like a budget-friendly place with what you need for business or a getaway too.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were great. We were worried about being so close to the airport, but the insulation worked well. From inside, we barely heard any planes, though they were easy to hear outside. The beds were fine, just firmer than what we're used to at places like Mariott and Days Inn. We'd stay again the next time we need an overnight stop in the area.
