The hotel was easy to park at, and check-in with the polite, helpful manager went smoothly. My room was reasonably acceptable: no strong smell, the sheets and towels looked white, the appliances worked, and hot water was steady. The location near the hospital was convenient, too. I was there for a work trip from the morning of November 25 through the morning of November 29, 2025, over Thanksgiving week. Daytime noise made it hard to rest as a night-shift worker, and there were no Do Not Disturb hangers, so I had to speak with staff to avoid interruptions. I also found no gym, pool, or visible business center. Breakfast was just basic grab-and-go items. The building and appliances are dated, and comfort was inconsistent. For a short stay with few needs, it may do, but the price doesn't match the experience. Anyone who needs quiet or reliable amenities should be cautious. I wouldn't come back.

I needed somewhere to stay after some unexpected circumstances, and Extended Stay America West Plano Parkway turned out to be just what I needed. Shakeil and Derrick, especially the front desk team, made me feel welcome from check-in onward. They were friendly and available throughout my stay. The studio setup worked well for a longer visit, with a full-size refrigerator, two-burner stovetop, microwave, and plenty of storage. I could cook healthy meals and save on eating out. The room was spacious, clean, and well cared for, and the comfortable bed and quiet surroundings helped me sleep well while traveling for work. The location made it easy to reach major highways, and restaurants and shops were within walking distance. The amenities added a lot, too. Apartment-style comforts, a handy location, and personal service made the stay truly wonderful. I'd happily recommend it for temporary housing or a longer stay.

I could barely sleep because the room I'm in smells strongly of smoke, even though it's supposed to be non-smoking. The customer service is great, but I was desperate after searching for a room for hours and said yes anyway. Now I understand why she showed me the room before I booked. I'd never seen hotel staff do that before. I won't make a choice out of desperation again, it catches up with you.

The bathroom had no working light, even though the room did have power. The front desk said someone would come the next day to fix it, but I didn't wait around. There were bugs, too. I was staying here because of the ice storm, but the conditions were bad enough that I chose to drive over an hour home in hazardous road conditions. The room was filthy, and it was clear it hadn't been properly cleaned. I carry a black light when I stay in hotels, and what I saw was disturbing: dirty walls, a stained and unclean bed, and a disgusting pull-out couch that didn't look sanitized or properly wiped down. For a place where people may stay for longer periods, the bugs were unacceptable. This was one of my worst hotel experiences. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone who cares about cleanliness, comfort, or basic hygiene. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
