The general manager made things right, and the cleaning guy who welcomed me so happily, almost like family, was great too. I think his name started with “D”. The other Black woman with braids or dreads was also good. It’s a nice, laid-back location and they accept dogs, but I absolutely won’t return. I was in room 310 and complained about the noise. My wife spoke to the front desk, where the Black woman was obnoxious, rude, snarky, condescending, and unprofessional. As soon as we got back to the room, she called to say they’d received complaints about our dog barking, though my dog never barks and sleeps quietly. It felt like she knew the other guest personally and was biased, maybe because my wife was white, but I don’t know. We called at least 10-15 times and she never answered. Without the general manager and those two other staff members, this would have been a one-star review.

I’ve been staying here since November while working temporarily at a local hospital, and I’ve had nothing but good things to say about the hotel and staff, from the front desk to housekeeping. Deontray deserves a mention too, always friendly and hospitable.

The online price is misleading because they charge extra for basic things like clean linens and towels. I’ve never seen a place charge you more just so you don’t have to sleep in filth. It’s also full of roaches, with several crawling around during my stay, which was the final straw. The entire hotel reeks of animal anuses from all the large dogs they allow, and pet mess stains cover the hallway and elevator carpets. They look and smell as if they’ve never been cleaned. My family and I were kicked out after Jasmine at the front desk accused us of tampering with the smoke detector because tape was around it. We don’t smoke, and the tape was already there when we checked in. She then tried to charge my card $250 for damages. Jasmine might seem professional at first, but she’s incredibly rude and unprofessional. I don’t know how this place is still operating. Save yourself the headache and stay anywhere else. It’s a nightmare from start to finish.

The hotel is always clean and smells great, and the staff are so nice. Lynette is especially kind and accommodating. I loved my stay.
