Studio 6 Plano, TX

For $77, this was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. I’m usually low maintenance and sleep deeply, but at midnight I woke up to a smell like someone was smoking right by my bed, even though the room and area were non-smoking. The front desk said people sometimes smoke in the bathrooms and would be fined, then told me to open the window. With the hotel right beside the Dallas freeway, we could hardly sleep with the window open. At 1 am, people across the hall were yelling, scream-laughing, and repeatedly slamming doors, waking both me and my four-year-old, who also usually sleeps deeply. I asked if there were quiet hours, and the clerk said there were and that he’d talk to them. At 2 am, I woke again as those neighbors went back and forth between two rooms. They’d propped the door open with the inside lock, so it kept banging against it whenever it tried to close. I called the desk a third time, and the clerk finally said he’d call the police. The noise stopped, and my son and I were finally able to sleep. If you smoke and like partying until 2-4 am, this might be the place for you.

I spent three days at the Studio 6 in plano tx. It was really nice and clean, and I was impressed that the kitchen area had appliances and silverware. The staff were kind, too. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a comfortable place. Well worth it.

The first impression was good, and they do clean, but for an extended stay you mostly have to keep your own room tidy. I’d recommend buying your own cleaning supplies anyway because there are roaches. There’s also a sewer smell coming from the sinks and tub, so I often pour bleach down the drain. The WiFi is hit and miss, and quite a few people live here permanently, so expect noise. This was the third hotel we’d stayed in since moving here in August. Coming from St. Louis, I’d say it was the second best. We were in transition, but finally found a permanent home. Thank God!

The rooms are nice and clean, the service is good, and the people are friendly. I’ve been here a year and love it. There’s a washer and dryer, and you can cook in the room. I left and came right back. This is the only place I come to, and I love the room service. Come give it a try.
