Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Plattsburgh

The room had a microwave and fridge, which came in handy for food from Dollar tree or the nicer grocery store next door. The laundry room in the lobby worked well, and there’s a Dollar tree down the street where detergent costs $1.50. Breakfast was pretty limited, but that’s what you’d expect at a Microtel. The staff were wonderfully friendly, and the hotel was much better than I’d expected.

The location fit our trip perfectly, and we were really pleased with everything. Our room was spotless, check-in was easy, and the clerk was very polite. The continental breakfast was great, and having coffee available around the clock was a nice extra. Thank you!

This was our second stay, and we’d come back again. The hotel is close to plenty of shops and restaurants, though the entrance sign can be easy to miss among all the other businesses. We slept well, liked the bed and pillows, and the room temperature suited us since we like it cold. The rooms are very nice and the staff are friendly. There’s no closet, but for a one-night stay that didn’t matter to us. Breakfast was as expected, with hard-boiled eggs, a pancake machine, toast, cereal, yogurt, packaged muffins, fruit, orange juice, and coffee.

The fire alarms went off today over a possible emergency, and the staff stayed calm, alert, and capable. It turned out to be a small issue in another guest’s room, thankfully, and I still feel safe spending my final night here because of how the staff handled it. They’ve also been incredibly attentive and helpful. My room is cozy and clean, with plenty of amenities, and there’s a lot to do nearby. Probably the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in. 10/10. If we can make it through this current presidential administration, I’ll see you all next summer!
