We went up to Amador County for our anniversary and spent one night at Plymouth House Inn. After check-in, we joined a little wine and cheese gathering in the living room and met some really nice, interesting people. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous. A wonderful stay.

There was a lot of street work going on in front of the inn during my visit, so I'm sure it's even more charming now. The room itself was extremely cozy and comfortable, and the breakfasts were scrumptious. The owner was a wonderful person, too. I had a lovely stay at Plymouth House Inn.

Plymouth House makes for a special romantic weekend, with everything you need and more. The rooms are lovely and clean, the hosts are friendly, and it's across the street from one of the area's best restaurants. Many favorite Amador wineries are just a few minutes away. A great B&B.

I'm a manager at a local business that gets plenty of out-of-town clients, and I'm always relieved when they tell me they're staying at The Plymouth House Inn. I know they'll be well looked after and will probably return to our humble Northern California haven. It's been a local favorite for years, and anyone lucky enough to stay there can see why. The website is excellent and gives honest information about the amenities. If you're visiting the Shenandoah wineries, it's a great base. After all that wine tasting, you can relax at the Inn instead of driving. B&B, not DUI!

That headless mannequin in an 1800s wedding dress above our bed was pretty unsettling. So was the door right at the foot of the bed that didn't lock from our side. It wasn't dirty, but it could definitely have been cleaner. Maybe antiquers would enjoy the place more. I don't see us staying again.
