WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham Minneapolis - Plymouth

I paid $4,000 a month and felt like I was treated like nothing. I've been here almost two months, and had to beg them to clean and fix things. Nobody comes to clean, and the sinks and showers don't drain, so you're left sitting with a full sink and tub. My first night, water came into my room after a storm, and the dishwasher was rigged. In my first two weeks, I was woken by a party at 2 a.m. that went on until 6. Randy is nice to your face, then terrible behind your back. I was accused of smoking pot, though I don't smoke and have two kids. The way I was judged here speaks volumes. This place is a joke. If I could rate it one star, I would. This is why I'm scared to rent.

The coffee bar is a nice touch, and the hotel is super clean. Randy, Lindsey Lynn, and everyone at the front desk were really friendly. Stellar place.

Our second night, two guys rented the suite across the hall and seemed to be blowing cigarette smoke under their door. The hallway got thick with it, along with another smell like chemicals that we didn't want to guess about. We contacted the office and saw a desk worker walking the hall with air freshener or something. Outside, there was dog crap and other garbage around, and I'm pretty sure we were the only ones picking up after our dogs. There weren't any dog poo stations either. When we arrived at night, the room floor felt sticky in spots. We tried a wet Swiffer to see if we could get rid of it. Bad idea, maybe, because the floors were so nasty that a small box of lavender pads didn't fix the problem, and the pads came away disgusting. We took them to the front office and were met with embarrassment and disgust. Larry, the general manager, said he would contact us and even asked to keep the pads for training. NARRATOR: Larry never contacted us. It looks nice from outside at night, but not once you can see it clearly. This place was nasty adjacent. I wouldn't recommend it for a family or for a business trip or week. It feels like it's headed toward the stereotypical extended stay.

Randy at the front desk was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our unit had everything we needed, with lots of room, and was clean. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were especially handy. It was just right for our weekend trip.
