Wyndham Garden Ann Arbor

There's no AC working in the room. If you don't get a room on the outside, you hear everything around the pool and bar. The whole area smells like chlorine, too. The listing says there are outside balconies, but there aren't any. Definitely won't stay here again.

There were lots of spots on the main floor where groups could get together and relax, and the hotel had a pool and hot tub, though we didn't use either this time. Breakfast was complimentary and much better than we usually find at other hotels. Our room and the hotel were clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows. The front desk staff were terrific, friendly and quick. We were pleased to find a good value at a reasonable rate.

Every staff member we dealt with, from check-in to food, maintenance, and housekeeping, was exceptional. The hotel was centrally located, and I went there to celebrate my 66th birthday, my mother's 85th, and my granddaughter's 9th. My mother hadn't been able to get in a hot tub for over five years, and it was one of the things she loved most. But the hot tub was down and the pool was cold. I'd asked for a room near the pool, but we were put on the fourth floor. The room's window screens had a huge rip, and there was frost on the inside of the windows.

The bartender, I think his name may have been John, was great, really friendly, and made great drinks. There was no hot tub, and the pool looked dirty. Everything else was OK, nothing exciting, but we'd come back.
