Red Lion Hotel Pocatello

Everything else was good, but our attempt to get food at the red leaf kitchen/bar in the lobby was frustrating. The bartender didn't acknowledge us, and after we sat down, no one came over to explain they weren't taking orders because they were closing early. There wasn't a sign. We only found out when she told someone sitting at the bar. I understand plans can change and they may need to close early, but someone should let customers know as they come in. Otherwise, it just feels rude.

I had a great time here, especially in the pool, and the place is huge. Our room was clean and nice, and breakfast offered lots of different foods. Can't wait to come back.

The room was disgusting. I had to ask for a broom and clean it myself, and the service was terrible. We waited on hold for 30 minutes about our broken TV. Luckily, the maintenance guy was really nice and fixed it. There was food left on the conference tables, dead leaves all around the pool, and breakfast wasn't provided like it is at most hotels. Checkout took another 20 minutes because no one was at the front desk. When someone finally helped, the girl gave me attitude, saying she didn't even work the desk. She'd seen me waiting and didn't help until I got mad and raised my voice. Such an inconvenient stay. I won't be back, and I'm really mad about what I paid for a stay that wasn't pleasant at all.

Brook was amazing and helped us with everything we needed. The pool area looked nice, but the pool was supposed to be heated and wasn't. Our room was awful: the toilet didn't work, there was no toilet paper or towels, the heater buttons were pushed in and hard to use, and the phone barely worked unless we shook it. Would NOT recommend.
