Drury Plaza Hotel Cleveland Downtown

The evening Kickback was a huge help. We went every night and got dinner from the complimentary buffet, plus a drink ticket for up to three alcoholic drinks per person between 5:30pm and 7pm. It saved us money and the hassle of picking a restaurant. The hotel was also within walking distance of most places we visited, and we felt safe going around even at night. Our fifth-floor room looked out at the Christmas lights, Key Tower, and historic buildings. Nya offered local restaurant suggestions and answered our questions, while Yunus and Layne were easy to approach and attentive when we needed help. The staff were warm throughout, valet parking was reliable, and the nightly rate felt reasonable. My sister and I had one of our best hotel stays, and we’re definitely coming back. I’ve been telling friends and coworkers about it, too.

We were tired from traveling and didn’t feel like heading out, so having some meals included was a really nice surprise. Everyone we met on staff was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we had a great night at the Drury. I’d gladly stay at a Drury again.

Our two-room suite was huge, and I liked how Drury turned the former department of education office into a hotel instead of tearing the building down. The murals, phone booth, and mail shoot are still there, giving the place some character. Breakfast and the evening Kickback had different menus each day, with plenty of food, and the dining staff stayed friendly and attentive even while busy. We did have a daily problem with only four towels for our family of five. The front desk brought extra ones, and after I mentioned it in a survey, manager Lane called the next day to hear my concerns. I felt listened to and valued. Yunus at the front desk was also wonderful, welcoming and friendly, with a genuinely cheerful personality that suits the hotel.

The evening meal and drinks were free and delicious, and breakfast was free and really good, too. The indoor heated pool and big hot tub were great for relaxing. I stayed one night and found the room comfortable, with clean, soft beds, a well-kept bathroom, a large TV, coffee, a microwave, and a small fridge. Parking was a bit pricey at $40 a night. The downtown location was convenient for restaurants, museums, the casino, and other spots. I’d recommend it for a short stay.
