Poipu Sands 114 Condo

We had a great time at 523 Poipu Sands. The rooms and shared spaces were big and comfortable, and everyone from booking through the end of our stay was helpful and pleasant. There was room for my kids to kick a soccer ball around on the lawn, and they loved the pool. From the deck chairs we watched whales and dolphins, and we walked to Shipwreck beach and Brennecke to see turtles, as well as to the lava arch. Poipu Beach is close by, with plenty of space and privacy.

The short walk to the beach and the location were nice, but management was misleading about construction. I was assured it wouldn't affect our building or nearby ones. During our stay, it did: the path to the front door was blocked, caution tape was right outside our patio, and we couldn't park in front. If I'd known the work would impact our building and room, I wouldn't have booked. Be careful, the host felt shady and misleading.

We were surprised that unit #525 sits beside a water treatment plant, something the website doesn't mention. There was a vague odor and a steady low motor hum, though otherwise the unit was great, very well furnished, and had an excellent view. We asked to move within minutes of arriving, but were told we'd have to pay for both units. Oh well, vacation adventure.

Unit 413 was a lovely place to stay. The grounds were clean and well cared for, the grills were cleaned every day, and the pool area was great. Shipwreck Beach and the Hyatt next door are just a short walk away. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to stay again!
