Garey Motel

The bathroom and shower were great, as were the mini fridge, microwave, and A/C. But the floors were filthy, and the towels and bedsheets really need to be changed. It's so close to being a great place, if they'd make a few cleanliness improvements.

I came for a funeral, and my family lives a block from this hotel. Whenever a relative came looking for me, the front desk guys would call me and embarrass me. They threatened to call the police just because of that. They act like they don't speak English, and they're horrible. These people are evil. Don't waste your money here.

For a basic motel, this is a great option. The room was clean and the mattress was surprisingly comfortable. The pillows were terribly old, but luckily we brought our own. The neighborhood isn't great, though we didn't feel unsafe. Know what you're looking for.

Customer service was great, and I appreciated the quick help with my questions about the area. The rooms were clean, but the rest needs replacing. The mattress and sheets are so old they're visibly deteriorating, and the rooms need a serious remodel. I don't know what photos they're showing on Google, but that's not what the rooms look like. The area actually felt safe, surprisingly. Outside the gates is pretty ghetto, lol, but I was comfortable leaving my car because they have HD cameras all over. Sleep was rough, though. The gas station is right there, and people kept coming and going, slamming their doors and yelling, which woke me up. I'd come back if I needed to. Bring your own bedding. This is a BUDGET motel, nothing more.
