The ocean view was partial, but it worked perfectly for us. We could see and hear the ocean just fine from the really comfortable lounge chairs, and I actually preferred that view. It's a smaller resort area, but close to restaurants and tourist activities. Lauderdale by the Sea and Fort Lauderdale are about 15 minutes away, so there was plenty to do. There are two pools, though they're not as big as they look in the pictures. The staff were exceptional and so accommodating. Everything quiets down by 11pm, which is good, and the place is clean. There's no late-night food ordering unless you use DoorDash. Smoking isn't allowed on the premises. The tech felt a little outdated: key cards get wiped if they go near your phone or magnets, the charging ports are USB, and the TV is cable only, not smart. It works if you're not a techie. There's one ice machine on the first floor, and the buckets don't keep ice for long because they aren't insulated. All in all, it was very nice and good for resting and relaxing, but for the price I don't think we'd choose it again. We could have upgraded a lot better. We were there in peak season, so maybe it costs less at other times.

The moon was full, the ocean looked beautiful, and the tea bar dining area was a gorgeous spot to have a drink in the evening. The people were nice, and the oysters were good, but the food was just not up to par. The chicken on my Caesar salad was dry and tough, not edible, and the salmon was mediocre. The hotel is beautiful, and it's too bad the food was so disappointing given the lovely setting.

The beach is only about a 100-foot walk away, and there's a great little restaurant right on the beach. At night, you can sit and talk with friends around the fire pits out back. The pool was warm and clean, and the bathroom in our room was beautiful. Everyone was super friendly. We had such a good stay that we've been twice and plan to come back soon.

The hotel grounds are stunning, the rooms are above average, and we really enjoyed the bar and dining area. The private beach is beautiful, though the lounge chairs were worn out. Bartenders took our orders some days and not others, so service there was inconsistent. Most hotel staff were top notch, but the front desk wasn't especially friendly. When I called about early check-in, I felt like I was inconveniencing them. We had a lovely long weekend and would return, since the location is excellent and very easy to get to by Uber. We'd recommend it.

Lynne, the event director, made planning and the whole wedding feel easy and stress free. Everyone stayed on the property, which made the celebration even more fun. The Beachcomber was exactly the relaxed tropical wedding spot I’d pictured, and the staff, from the front desk to servers, bartenders, and valet, were kind and attentive. We had a beautiful view from our room. I’m already looking forward to coming back for anniversaries or other trips to South Florida.
