Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort

Kathleen at the front desk greeted me with such a warm smile and was especially accommodating. Her customer service was top tier, and she deserves a raise. I mentioned I was celebrating my boyfriend's 40th birthday, and she showed us a lot of hospitality. The hotel itself was very clean and updated, and my stay was amazing. The only drawback was the seaweed at the beach, which is an environmental issue and not Marriott's fault. 10 out of 10 for everything else.

The staff made this quick two-night getaway feel like a luxury vacation. Lynn and Katy at the front desk were especially helpful, sorting out a small room issue quickly and efficiently. From check-in onward, every employee I met was welcoming and incredibly kind. I look forward to coming back.

The room looked newly refurbished and cute, with modern touches, a balcony, and a huge accessible bathroom that I especially appreciated while more than seven months pregnant. The deposit they required was outrageous for the room and service, even though I didn't object at the time. Then the power started cutting out less than two hours into our romantic getaway. Maintenance came up without any initial communication and got it back on, but it went off again. My husband called the desk, and the man there wanted to understand what was happening because he wasn't scheduled all night and wanted the issue resolved. The lights came on while he stood in our doorway, then went out again. This happened four or five times in about two hours. I've never experienced anything like it. There was also a hairnet on the floor and bird poop all over the balcony. I ended up doing my hair in the dark. I hope a future stay can be pleasant and accommodating.

The pool and beach are right on the premises, with towels, chairs, and an umbrella supplied, and the grounds were immaculate. We had a great stay, helped along by Jason, our host, who had everything ready and was always quick to answer questions. Javon was welcoming at check-in, Lynn was pleasant at checkout, and Ricardo at the Beach Tiki Bar made one heck of a drink. Valet was quick and easy, and the restaurant's smash burger and truffle fries were the best. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. Thanks to everyone who made it such a good experience.
