The motel looks great, and Sam is a great manager. But he turned down my stay because he misunderstood Florida law (§413.08) and the ADA. Hotels and motels open to the public have to allow trained service dogs wherever customers can go, without extra fees, pet policy exceptions, or refusals based on other guests. His lack of knowledge led to discrimination against me as a disabled person, and what happened was illegal.

We were a few blocks from the beach and downtown, and the area was quiet at night. Sam was helpful with directions to restaurants and the beach, and even texted midway through the trip to check if we needed anything. The room was clean and updated, with comfortable bed and pillows and clean bedding. It was chilly when we arrived during a cold snap, but Sam had put an electric heater in the room. Hot water took a while and didn't last long. There was a heated pool, though we didn't use it since we'd forgotten our swimsuits and didn't want to buy new ones for a four day trip. Everything else was great, and we'd definitely stay again.

The staff are always helpful and know the best local spots, which makes sense for a family-owned place that's been here for decades. Our room was spotless and had plenty of amenities, including full cable TV channels. It's an easy walk to the center of Pompano beach, the pier, and lots of shops and restaurants. Thanks for the hospitality.

Sam was a pleasure to talk with, and the motel's "Old Florida: feel brought back memories from when I lived in Florida in my younger days. That's exactly the kind of place I was looking for. The room was clean, the pool was perfect, and getting to the beach was easy. Sam even supplied chairs and an umbrella. I'm already looking forward to next year's visit. Thanks again, Sam!
