My husband had already checked in, received his keys, and left to watch our child play in a regional baseball game when the hotel called me. They said he had never checked in and could not stay unless I canceled and booked again. The reason seemed to be that my email brought up an old membership from about five years ago, created when my father needed a room in a pinch. His name had somehow become attached to my contact details, even though I hadn't signed into an account to make this reservation. Rebooking would mean paying the now-higher rate. Rooms were hard to find because of the tournament, but my husband told me from the game that he didn't want to stay there, so I found him another hotel. The front desk employee said I hadn't been charged, and I'll have to see whether Choice refunds me. I don't trust a company that won't take responsibility for what feels like a scammy membership and booking policy. This place, and Choice Hotels in general, feel scammy. Don't use this hotel.

They kept my original rate when they extended my stay, which I really appreciated. I was there for seven nights at Sandpoint Inn Hotel, and the service was incredible. My room was cozy, they got me extra towels and sheets quickly when I needed them, and the coffee was great. Having service available around the clock was a nice bonus. I'd happily recommend it.

We travel as vendors during the season and brought all our business gear inside to keep it safe. Loading it took about half an hour, and even after the problems started within a few hours, we decided to stay the two nights we'd paid for. That was a horrible mistake. Staff were unhelpful, strange, and among the most difficult people we've dealt with in hundreds of hotel stays. They were also very ungracious, and we hoped they'd simply leave us alone. The room had leftover food from a previous guest, hair and beard clippings in the sink, no towels or washcloths, and the tub and shower filled with water because hair or something else had clogged the drain. We asked for an extra pillow since there was only one on the bed. It took six hours to arrive, and the person who brought it said nothing when we thanked them and shut the door. At 11:10, someone knocked and told us we had 20 minutes to leave or we'd be charged another $20 for late checkout. The online photos show a clean, nice-looking hotel and plenty of breakfast food, but that wasn't what we found. Breakfast and dining areas were occupied by kids, and although the place says it's pet friendly, dogs were barking in the halls and made it hard to sleep. The hot tub and laundry room were broken. The laundry room was locked so you couldn't get out except through the main front door. In a fire, there didn't seem to be emergency exits on each side of the building. You'd have to run down the hall and stairs, past a locked door at the far end, then to the middle of the building and hope the fire wasn't near your room. We just hope nobody gets stuck in that unsafe situation. Saving money doesn't always work out. I suspect the good reviews might be from the owners using fake profiles because they sound strangely alike. This review site also wouldn't let me post without choosing a positive label, so I picked "great view" even though that isn't true, and had to give at least one star. Please, for the love of God, don't stay here.

The location is great and the staff were kind, but the carpet is what I can't get past. It was sticky enough that our shoes actually stuck to the floor. We didn't get any washcloths, and there were no outlets near the beds. Breakfast was mostly donuts, fruit, and granola bars. The listing's first Priceline photo shows the hot tub, but it's out of order. Still, why was the carpet sticky? 😂

The hotel was under construction while we were there. Our first room didn't have a working TV remote. We arrived at 9 p.m., and they asked if the construction workers could enter our room around 9 a.m. I'm not sure why they couldn't wait until after checkout. It could be a nice place once the work is done.
