Super 8 by Wyndham Pontoon Beach IL/St. Louis MO Area

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The pool, though, was tiny and too cold, and there wasn’t a hot tub. It’s reasonably priced and fairly clean, with friendly staff. The place could use some upkeep, and it’s neither especially modern nor ancient. There were a few sleazy residents, as you can find in low-cost hotel chains, but nobody bothered us. The location was just okay, a short drive from our venue in St. Louis.

David was at the front desk when I checked out Thursday morning. In all my stays at budget hotels, I haven’t often met an employee who seemed so cheerful and happy to be there. Whenever I passed the desk during his shifts, he remembered my name and asked if there was anything he could do to make me more comfortable. The lobby and breakfast area were immaculate, too. Thanks again, I’ll definitely stay at this Super 8 again when I’m back in town for work.

Paula is so sweet, and Sindu has become a good friend during my time here. The owner is a very nice guy, and Davey takes care of guests’ needs at any hour. He even gets fun seasonal creamers for the morning coffee, like frosted sugar cookie and Snickers. I’ve had such a good time here, made lots of friends, and absolutely love the pool. The hotel has all the amenities you need and is very clean. The staff are top tier and go above and beyond, including getting my grandson the cutest gifts when he was born. I’d absolutely recommend this Super Spot for a comfortable, clean, relaxing stay, or even a late-night swim.

David made a great first impression at the front desk, and he went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. He took care of every small thing we got wrong. I travel a lot, and I’ll definitely come back because of him and the kind housekeepers. Thanks to management for training him so well.
