547 My daughter arrived on May 28, 2026, for the Thursday night stay I’d booked for her through Booking.com on May 9 at the Best Western. The hotel told her it had changed to City Express and she’d need to pay again, then seek a refund from Booking.com. Now Booking.com says it already paid the property, while City Express says it can’t help. We had to pay twice for one night, and we’re the only ones left bearing the cost. This is unacceptable.

This place doesn’t deserve even one star. The room was dirty, the fridge filthy, and previous guests’ used towels were still in the bathroom. It smelled of mildew, the TV didn’t work, and the breakfast was nothing like what was advertised. When I asked for a clean room, the staff got upset. It was hot everywhere, with floor fans running. There’s no way this place was just renovated.

I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. There were no batteries in my TV remote, and I waited three or four hours for that. The pool wasn’t fit for swimming. Big roaches kept showing up in my room, and I killed one. No floors had ice except the fourth, and there were no ice buckets. A housekeeper woke me to ask if I needed anything. I asked for towels and toilet paper, but they never came, so I had to go get them myself. The refrigerator freezer was frozen over, too. Worst hotel vacation I’ve had. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s awful. I added photos!

The front desk didn’t help when we found out there was a problem with our reservation. They just told us to call Booking.com for a refund, even though they could see the booking and the management change had caused the issue. That made the whole stay really frustrating. My boyfriend had booked through Booking.com two weeks earlier, back when the hotel was Best Western. We arrived late and were told Booking.com hadn’t paid, so after already paying $255 for the booking, we had to pay another $230. We’d reserved a king but got a queen. The room was clean and the AC worked, but it wasn’t comfortable: the mattress frame pressed through, the pillows were flimsy, and the duvet had no cover. Breakfast was poor, just wet omelettes, yogurt, and cereal. There was no sausage or waffle maker, and by 7:30 a.m. there were no bagels or bread. If a good hotel breakfast matters to you, this isn’t the place.

I’d booked one king bed, but got two queens after waiting 45 minutes for the room to be “cleaned.” I was told I’d get an upgrade for the trouble, but the next night they were fully booked, and the night after that nobody was at the desk to help. The stairwell smelled like urine, the elevator was broken, and the other elevator was a full year overdue for inspection. I’ve spent my whole life in customer service and would never treat a customer like this. They also refused to refund any money after my stay, saying they couldn’t help once it was over. They won’t help while you’re there or afterward. I wish I could give zero stars. I booked through Expedia in January 2026, when it was Best Western. When I showed up at 11 p.m. on 5/14/26, they said Expedia had cancelled my reservation. Expedia called the hotel, and staff lied that the problem was settled and I had a room. I tried to get someone to make it right and refund some of my money, but got nowhere. Stay far away from this disgusting hotel.
