The room looked like its remodeling was left unfinished, and the beds were very uncomfortable. There was a partially smoked cigarette under the TV in this non-smoking motel, despite the sign saying they charge $250 if someone is caught smoking. Either it was planted to scam guests, or the housekeepers didn't do their jobs. The mildew in the shower and a huge handful of hair clogging the drain make poor cleaning seem possible. When I checked in, the guy said it was $105 a night. I pointed out that their own website listed $95, and he said, "ok, we can price match." That's not price matching. It felt like he was caught trying to scam me. The shower and bed weren't clean, so if that's all you need from a motel, this place does the job, and only that. Watch yourself, and don't come expecting more than somewhere to sleep or do shady business. We did get a good laugh out of where the heater knob was ridiculously placed.

We stopped for one night before the early ferry to Victoria. The location is convenient and the staff are friendly, but it didn't seem like our room had been cleaned. There were beard trimmings in the sink, and although the bed was made, the linens clearly looked dirty. Those are the only good things I can say. We wouldn't choose this place again.

The front desk staff were amazing with information, and very friendly and helpful when we had questions about town and where to explore. The rooms were notably clean, and the location made a great home base near the ferry terminal and Olympic National Park. For travelers watching their budget, The Riviera Inn in Port Angeles is a fantastic find. We had a pleasant stay in comfort.

The place felt safe and the rate was great, so expect what you pay for. The beds weren't especially comfortable, and there were some odd smells.

The rooms were decent enough, but small. The shared water tank was a problem: when people in other rooms were getting ready, we had no hot water in the morning. We got the room for the night expecting to rest, shower in the morning, and head out, and it didn't meet our needs.
