The house service staff are absolute peaches, friendly and hardworking, and they always make me feel at home. The young woman at the front desk during the day and the gentleman with purple hair in the evenings have also been so helpful whenever we've had an issue. We originally chose this place because they take dogs of all sizes, but their service has impressed us time and time again. We always stay here when visiting my parents, and we'll keep coming back.
The heater didn't work all night, and there was hair everywhere on the bed, more and more wherever I looked. I even found pubic hair on a bathroom towel. Absolutely disgusting. I have lots of pictures, though for some reason it won't let me upload them. I want my money back, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. What else could explain it besides housekeeping not changing the linen between guests? This wasn't just one stray hair. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.
The rooms were cozy, very clean, and the service was great. It's a nice, quiet place to crash for a night or a few. Check-in was easy, though they ask for your debit or credit card number and expiry date to hold the reservation. They don't charge anything extra except a refundable $75 security deposit, returned at checkout.
The staff seemed friendly, and we didn't have any actual problems with them. Still, my wife felt much less comfortable about the place than I did, and we probably won't return. The rooms seemed average: the mini fridge worked, and there was internet and A/C. The bedding was clean and the bathroom seemed fine to me, though my wife didn't think the place was clean enough. The location was the main issue. A trailer park seemed to be nearby, and there were a lot of unsavory-looking people around. When we drove around back to look for our room, we saw a couple of people who looked like they were smoking from a makeshift pipe or bong. Nobody bothered us, but my wife felt uneasy and wanted to leave first thing in the morning. Maybe it was just the time of year, but the double room came to over $200. That's far too much for a place like this. I might have been okay with $70-$90, but not what we paid. We had our two small dogs and couldn't find another nearby pet-friendly room. There were other places, but they were booked. At a lower price it could work in a pinch.
There was noise all day and night from the girl next door screaming at her kid, who kept crying hysterically, plus a huge dog in the room on the other side howling and barking all night. We also heard a loud banging from above and still don't know what it was. Then, even though I left a note asking not to be disturbed and saying I didn't need room service, a guy knocked around 8 in the morning. I ignored him, but he let himself in anyway and asked if I was sleeping and needed my room cleaned. Otherwise, not much happened.
