Holiday Inn Harborview - Port Washington

The indoor pool and the harbor, just a minute’s walk away, were lovely, and there were plenty of other restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. We also ate at the hotel restaurant, where the prices were very affordable. The area and hotel were peaceful and quiet, making it an ideal break from our busy life in Chicago. We stayed two nights in room 522 for a relaxing weekend getaway. The room was spotless and had a beautiful view of both the city and harbor, plus a sweet handwritten note waiting for us. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The receptionist was kind and welcoming, and we didn’t have a single negative thought during the visit. I think the owners are local and have considered every little detail. It felt more like a five-star hotel than a three-star one. For the service and overall experience, they deserve five stars. We were so happy with our stay that we barely wanted to leave, and would highly recommend this place. You can book with your eyes closed.

The hotel was nice, pretty close to a Marriott in my view. The free breakfast in the restaurant was very good, and the staff were friendly. We were in a block of rooms for a wedding party, but the price went up. Some guests booked without mentioning the wedding, and by the time we returned from the off-site wedding, there was no parking. I’d come back and hope for a better rate.

Being right on the water was so nice, and the rooms were beautiful. Everyone was friendly and sweet to us when we came up from Kentucky to see the ball game. We loved our stay and will definitely come back. There was one small thing about the bathroom door. It was a nice sliding door, but there was about an inch of a gap, so you could see the other person using the toilet. We found it hilarious 😂, though I can see how some people might have an issue with it. It was fine for us, lol.

We had a really enjoyable weekend getaway in Port Washington, and Harborview was accommodating and a great choice. The hotel looks clean and modern inside. The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was quiet, without the buzzing that’s typical in most hotels. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower pressure was some of the best I’ve had at a hotel. We had great views from the top floor and got to enjoy the lake and lovely morning scenery before taking a long walk by the lake. The convenient parking lot was helpful too. One of the nicest hotel stays I’ve had in a while.
