Baymont by Wyndham Port Wentworth

Breakfast was delicious, and my room felt fresh as soon as I walked in. It was nicely decorated and welcoming. Some hotels leave the air conditioning off and the room gets musty, but that wasn't the case here. I recently stayed at the Beaumont Inn at Port Wentworth, GA, and really liked the room.

The location worked well for us, with restaurants, gas stations, and a supermarket nearby. Downtown Savannah and Tybee Island were also a reasonable distance away. The pool is very small, though it should be fine for little kids. We travel a lot as a military family, and past hotel stays haven't always been pleasant. This one met my expectations. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean, and the renovated hotel looks just like the website photos. The staff made us feel welcome each morning. The young man at the front desk was especially kind and respectful. When I mentioned there was no coffee, he finished with another customer and made some for us, then brought extra bread and other things we needed. I hope the owners keep the hotel in the great condition I found it in and stay firm with guests who might damage it. I hope you don't have to deal with that. Wishing you the best, and thanks again!

Breakfast was a mess the next morning. Nothing was stocked, the eggs were undercooked, and when I asked for more waffles, the woman refused. Another guest asked for coffee and got attitude. The night before, I had asked the night attendant for trash bags and she wouldn't get off her phone to help. I arrived around 9pm, and the woman at the desk was busy on her phone and didn't want to check us in. When she finally came over, she was rude. There was a flood in the hallway on the way to our room, and it had been there long enough to smell moldy. Housekeeping had kept the room clean enough, at least. The next day I found out the night shift hadn't keyed my card properly, so I was locked out. Someone else had to set the keys for the right dates. I'll never come back. Total waste of money.

I first stayed here a year ago, then came back in July 2025. There was an issue on that second visit, and a very nice young woman helped me sort it out. The girl I'd originally been dealing with wasn't courteous or helpful. I definitely recommend the Baymont in Port Wentworth, GA. It'll be my go-to place.
