Comfort Suites Savannah North I-95

We'd only stay again because the place was clean and there were no bugs, which was our main reason for booking. The room itself was clean, the bed comfortable, and the linens had no stains. When we checked the mattress for bed bugs, though, we found a huge stain on it. The shower had plenty of hot water, but you need to lift the diverter before turning the water on or it pools in the tub. The Wi-Fi connected but had no internet, so we used our phones as hotspots. If your room faces the highway, you'll definitely hear trucks, so light sleepers beware. Outside looked nice, but there was nowhere comfortable to sit and enjoy the weather. Just two concrete benches by an ugly broken fountain, plus old pool furniture in the back and one lounge chair. Breakfast disappointed us too: eggs, waffles, and biscuits, but no gravy that I saw, no meat or yogurt, and only apples. The biscuits were overcooked and the eggs were gone when we arrived, so we walked right back out.

The front desk woman yesterday was very nice, sweet, and helpful. The breakfast cook with white hair was the opposite. When asked to restock, she acted like she didn't want to and put things out with an attitude. She also talked about the owners needing to fix things here. The eggs tasted like water and weren't good. There are kids making noise in the next room, and the bed is so bad I can't rest at all. This trip is already going badly, and I don't think I can stay four days. I need my money back.

The staff were great and friendly, and the location right off I-95 is convenient. Still, this wasn't the best Comfort Inn I've stayed at. In room 228, I found a couple of insects, including one on the sofa bed. I know it's winter and bugs may look for warmth, but being on the second floor, I thought fumigation should handle that. The room sink also drained very slowly.

The second time we stayed here on the way to Miami with my wife and pet, we found bed bugs in our first assigned room almost right away. Staff kindly moved us, but seeing how many bugs were in that room left us concerned. The first stay had been fine. The room seemed old and a little run down, but was good enough for sleeping. If you need a pet friendly place near I95, it may work, but be aware you might find bed bugs in the sheets.
