Sleep Inn I-95 North Savannah

We were driving my elderly parents from New York to Florida, and this hotel right off I-95 was perfectly placed for us. Our Booking.com reservation didn’t come through to the hotel, but Paul at the front desk was calm, reassuring, and very helpful. He booked the rooms directly for even less. We needed one wheelchair accessible king room and one regular king. The rooms were clean, though there was a small lip into the bathroom that took a push for the travel wheelchair, and fitting it beside the bed was a little tight. The blackout curtains kept the rooms dark. The heat worked well for my parents and the AC worked well for me. I’m 38F, and felt safe walking in the well-lit parking lot while on hold with Booking.com customer service. Breakfast was included in the ridiculously low price: coffee, juice, hot water for tea and hot chocolate, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, make your own waffles, toast, fruit, cereal, and oatmeal. An attendant was cleaning and restocking the whole time. The staff were wonderful. We would DEFINITELY stay again.

A good place to crash, especially if that’s all you need. There’s no elevator, but after we explained our disability, they accommodated us. The room was very spacious, though the beds felt basically like springs covered with cotton, and there was one roach. Their soap and toiletries smelled amazing.

The AC in room 211 leaked onto the floor and side of the bed, then kept shutting off at night and waking us in the hot, humid room. It was humid from the start, the bathroom was dirty, and room service knocked hard over and over even after we told them three times we didn’t need it because we had just arrived and they wanted trash and towels. We were only there for two nights and didn’t want to make too much of a fuss, so we switched rooms. Room 209 wasn’t a smoking room, but reeked of cigarette musk. The AC seemed fine during the day but shut off again at night. It made me wonder if they were saving energy, but Georgia is hot and humid. The place did what it needed to, but I wouldn’t return. I stayed at the Denver tech location and it was an absolute joy, so I booked this one because it felt familiar. This location sucks.

The Sleep Inn is affordable, clean, and well maintained, though it’s an older two floor hotel with no elevator. It’s just off I95, and both the rooms and the staff were comfortable and friendly. Breakfast was good, with something for everyone.
