Cambria Hotel Portland Downtown-Old Port

We had a really nice three-night stay. The harbor view from our comfortable king suite was great, and the water was always hot with good pressure. The hotel is beautiful and the location is fantastic. We walked everywhere, including to the port and lots of good restaurants. The bed was comfy, though I personally don't care for the small pillows. There's a nice gym, but no pool or spa. The outdoor patio has two fireplaces and is a lovely place for a drink, but you can't see the water from there. We skipped the car and walked, so we didn't use the valet. There's a $25 nightly resort fee that can go toward food and drinks, but pay attention to the timing. We apparently got a few items to take away from the small, expensive market at the wrong time and ended up paying the $25 fee plus about $25 for a few bottles of water.

The rooms and location are lovely, and I would recommend them. The decor is very nice, and the outdoor area looks great for summer. The smell was very strong, like Abercrombie, though not unpleasant. Bill at the desk was very friendly; the other guy was a bit dour. The barman was busy talking with friends and wasn't especially friendly, and a small bag of chips cost $5. The elevators were slow when I arrived but sorted themselves out later.

The staff were kind and helpful throughout my stay and gave me good recommendations for the area. Parking in the garage was convenient at $30. I had a great time at the Cambria Hotel. The room was cozy, the bed really comfortable, and the pillows were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, especially the blueberry muffin. I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms are nicely arranged, and the hotel is close to everything. The person at the desk was very polite. Parking is right next door; keep your ticket so they can validate it. I’d definitely come back.
