McMenamins Kennedy School

The food was great, including the pepperoni pizza and Cajun tots we had, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The cinema has sofas and tables and reasonably priced movies. There's lots to explore, from interesting nooks and little hidden bars to exotic decorations. The gift shop is packed with treasures, and they make their own finely crafted drinks, including cider, beers, and spirits. Outside, there are fire pits and covered seating. We also saw people enjoying the bathing pool. Mcmennamins places are always cool, creatively decorated, and unique. This area is easy to walk around, with plenty of shops and other restaurants nearby.

A funky, fun spot whether you're in Portland or just looking for a beer and a soak. The food is good, the beer is great, and the soaking pool is a blast. Staff are kind, everything is always clean, and it's a really unique place to visit.

The neighborhood is lovely, with restaurants, coffee, shops, and bars an easy walk away. We stayed two nights in December, and the hotel itself has a fun, distinctive feel, including several unique bars. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The heated soaking pool was a highlight, especially the hours reserved for hotel guests since it gets busy when open to the public. It was a great way to wind down each day. And it’s very pet friendly!

The room was spacious and right in the middle of everything, so it was easy to enjoy a soak, catch a movie, and head back on foot. I really like the Kennedy School location for its bars, pool, and theater, and I was excited to stay there. But the room didn’t feel worth what it cost. The glassware looked a bit dirty, and the ceiling fan was really dusty, with cobwebs, like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I love visiting the Kennedy School, but I don’t think I’d book a room there again.
