Morrill Mansion was quiet and peaceful despite being so close to the hospital. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the owners put a lot of thought into the renovations. We had a great stay.

We found Morrill Mansion fairly priced and comfortable for our one-night stay while visiting Thompsons Point for a concert. In summer, finding reasonably priced accommodation in Portland had been difficult. We didn’t meet the owners or staff, but I did receive an email after booking asking for a photo of my ID, which is standard. They wanted it ASAP. Two hours later, during weekday working hours, another email said they could cancel the booking if I didn’t send it. Comfortable stay, but the staff aren’t shy about sending multiple emails during the workday when you haven’t sent your ID photo.

The mattress was firm but good quality, with no springs, and I slept really well. The room was beautiful, with plants and big windows, and the heat cranks. Everything was super clean in a lovely building and a great location. Check whether you have off-street parking, I did, and it helped. I could’ve used more than one shelf in the bathroom, haha. A silly complaint for an inn that otherwise had a perfect high-end hotel feel.

David made this the best Bed and Breakfast stay we’ve ever had. He was an incredible host, shared lots of local history, and offered recommendations. Breakfast was amazing and changed every morning of our four-night stay. We had custards, quiches, lobster potatoes, fresh eggs, blueberry crisps, and plenty more. Our room had a jet spa bath, which felt great after long days touring Portland, ME. If you’re looking for an extraordinary stay in the Portland, ME area, you won’t be disappointed.

Our room at Morrill Mansion has lots of charm and character, and having a parking space was a real help. It’s well placed for walking to some great food, and getting around Portland by car and finding parking has been easy. After a long first day of travel, we appreciated the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, along with the food suggestions in the booklet. Our host Katrina was polite and professional, and the stay has been excellent.
