The outside of the property was tidy, with lots of parking and a grassy dog area with a waste bin. The owner clearly takes pride in the place and checked me in within seconds. Inside, I was surprised by how clean the floors were and how upgraded the room felt compared with other Motel 6 stays. The bed had quality, satin-feeling sheets, and there was a good-sized Samsung TV with a matching remote. Furniture was in great shape, there were plenty of outlets and USB ports, and the bathroom was spot on. Housekeeping was quick, and the woman was sweet. Great for families. This is easily the best Motel 6 I’ve stayed in, and I’ll definitely come back.

The rooms were average for a budget motel, and pets stay free. Those were the positives. Noise was awful: doors slammed all through the night and shook the building, and there was no sound barrier in the walls, floors, or ceilings. You could hear everything, and people made noise at all hours. I won’t stay here again.

The rooms themselves were great, but the way guests were treated was nasty and verbally abusive. Just opening the lobby door apparently got me cursed at, and asking for extra towels earned a lecture. I’d never book here again.

Traveling with two small dogs, I usually choose Motel 6, and I felt safe at this one on 82 nd Ave. The room was clean, and the staff were courteous. I’d stay here again.

The rooms look great after a recent remodel, and check-in was fast and friendly. For Portland, the price and cleanliness are hard to beat. Shampoo in the room would’ve been nice, but it didn’t spoil the stay. Great value.
