For the price, this place was awesome. Every staff member I met was friendly and helpful, and the whole hotel was super clean. There are several nicely designed indoor and outdoor spaces to hang out in, plus a lobby fireplace if you want to get cozy. They put out tea and coffee in the lobby each morning. I also got to check in three hours early for free because my room was ready. I was in town for a conference, and colleagues told me they'd seen bed bugs at three other hotels closer to the convention center. There were zero signs of them at Jupiter, which was a relief. Lots of fun restaurants and coffee shops are nearby, including several vegan places within walking distance. I'd totally stay here again if I come back to Portland for a conference.

We liked the room and the staff were great, but loud music wrecked the experience. I think it came from the top floor, and the bass was especially bad. Regular earplugs didn't help, and it went on until 1 AM. I'd seen that other people had similar experiences, so I should've read the reviews more carefully. If you're up late and enjoy that kind of scene, it might be fun. Anyone hoping for a quiet night probably shouldn't stay here.

We had to add a night in Portland and booked this place at the last minute. We arrived at 11:00 expecting to leave our luggage and wait in the rain until the room was ready at 2:00, but they had a room free and let us check in right away. The staff were super friendly, the rooms cozy, and the location awesome.

The showers are one of my favorite things here, but there's not much privacy. If you don't like being seen by the person you're staying with while you shower, choose someone you're comfortable with or reconsider booking. There's no microwave in the rooms, which is handy to know, though it wasn't a big deal for me. Parking can be tight when the hotel is busy, but a nearby lot costs less than the hotel's parking, so it wasn't a problem. I love the vibe at Jupiter NEXT and Hey Love, and this is currently my favorite place to stay in Portland.

The staff were great and gave us useful suggestions for places to eat within walking distance. I'd happily stay here again. My only real issue was our room facing a smoking balcony. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, and we could smell it in our room a few times. There was an event on during our visit too, and some guests coming back from partying late at night or early in the morning weren't very respectful of quiet hours.
