Portland Piedmont Guesthouse

There was plenty of room for our party of 11 to eat, socialize, and sleep, and the hot tub was perfect. The house is set back from the main road, so it's quiet, but food carts and shopping are within walking distance. It felt like a well-kept, well-stocked home, with cooking utensils and basics like salt and oil already there. The bunk beds were a little creaky, as many are; I mentioned it to the owner, who said he would look into it. He was responsive, positive, and helpful without being intrusive. We had a great stay and would come back.

Our 12 yo realized at the airport, as we were about to head home, that she'd left her backpack behind. We called Gary to ask if he'd seen it and figure out how to retrieve it before our flight. He had just picked it up and very generously brought it to us, getting it there within 20 minutes. The house itself was lovely, roomy enough for extended family, and much better equipped than most. My husband and I had an upstairs room, our children shared the bunk room, and my MIL and SIL each had a room downstairs.

We came to Portland to see our son and were glad to find this charming rental. The home is cozy, well cared for, and well supplied, and Gary was a welcoming, accommodating host. We hope to stay again on our next visit.

Our family had room to spread out, relax, and enjoy each other's company in this charming house. Gary was a good host who made sure we knew our way around the house and nearby attractions. There were plenty of towels, dishes, and seats, and the place was exceptionally well thought out. One of the best properties we've stayed in. Thanks, Gary!
