The location is great, right at the interchange of Hwy 26 and hwy 217. There’s some road noise, but it stays fairly steady, almost like calming white noise. For the price, it could work if you’re on a budget, but give the room a thorough look and ask for a better one if needed. My first room was unacceptable: half the curtains were missing, including the ones in front of the bed, and the “heat” only blew cold A/C. The second was just “acceptable,” if you’re used to lower-end places. The bed was its saving grace, comfortable, with mattress covers installed, and the pillows were great. The rest was alright. The shower heads could use updating; they’re only 10-15 bucks.

During a really stressful time, staying at Roadway Inn and Suites felt like a blessing. The staff welcomed me with genuine care and treated me kindly and respectfully from the moment we arrived. They made me feel safe and welcome, never rushed or judged. I can’t put into words how much that meant. Thank you for all that you are and are becoming.

NO WORKING TOILET. This place is repulsive, and I’d rather sleep in my car. Mine didn’t work from the moment I checked in, and they wouldn’t repair it. They even blamed me for urinating in it and using “too much toilet paper” (see photo). I asked FIVE times for them to leave a plunger, but it didn’t work. They refused to move me or refund me. Barbara at the front desk made a weak request to her manager over the phone and wouldn’t call him back. She said she herself had gone a week without working plumbing and had to pee in a cup, as if that made my room’s broken toilet acceptable. The TV didn’t work either, and neither did the heater or air conditioner. Things break, but their attitude was ridiculous. I called Choice Hotels “customer service,” and they couldn’t care less. I’ll never, never, never stay at a Choice Hotel again.

Our friends came back to Washington and realized their kids had left a Nintendo Switch at the hotel. They called the front desk, confirmed it had been found, and told them we’d come by in 10 minutes to pick it up. When we arrived, we gave the reservation name, described the item, and confirmed the earlier call. The staff member, an Indian woman named Cindy, handed us the Switch, and we headed for the exit. Then she locked the doors, set off a burglary alarm, and accused us of stealing it. She had just given it to us. We explained what had happened, but she kept yelling and said she was calling the police. We were locked inside for over 10 minutes while trying to reach our friends to confirm the story. Even after they spoke with her directly, she wouldn’t let us leave and kept threatening us. Only after our family yelled at her on the phone did she unlock the doors. This happened between 10:00-10:15 PM on July 7, 2025. I can’t overstate how aggressive and unprofessional the staff were. That incident was on top of the terrible room our family had booked for relatives visiting from Washington. They had reserved a suite with two queen beds and a pullout couch, but there were blood stains all over the sheets, hair on the towels, and the water barely worked. One queen bed was completely broken and the pullout mattress was ripped and unusable, leaving one bed for five people. We asked to move them to another suite and were told none were available, so they were put in standard room 258 and still charged the suite rate. It was dirty, smelled bad, and the staff were rude and unhelpful throughout. Between the broken beds, dirty rooms, and the way we were treated, I strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

I checked in, looked around, and checked out right away to stay at another hotel I booked after leaving. It was a waste of time and money. Just spend the extra 5 bucks and go somewhere else. The room had only one working ceiling light, and it barely lit the place. There were clumps of hair under the sheets and hair on the bathroom floor. The bed felt awful, like it had been there for 30 years. Hallways stank, and random people were wandering around the lot and corridors. One room stood open with junk scattered from the entrance all the way inside. Seriously, don’t stay here.
