They charged my cards several times while I was checking in, and the cards got flagged, so I couldn’t access my funds. The hotel is under construction and doesn’t feel safely secured. There were open hallways with loose wires hanging from the ceiling, missing ceiling tiles, and filthy floors. The staff seemed unhappy and undertrained, talking openly about quitting. I can’t blame them. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, an absolute dump.
Check-in service was good, but the rest of the stay was unacceptable. Getting to our room meant walking through an active construction zone, and the whole hotel was filthy. Our room was badly outdated, and the beds were so uncomfortable we could barely sleep. It felt like nobody had put much effort into making the place comfortable for guests. At checkout, the security person was chatting casually with the front desk and didn’t seem attentive or professional. The owners shouldn’t be renting rooms in this condition. I wouldn’t recommend it.
The room looked like someone had ransacked it. Cabinets were left open and the furniture was scattered around. On the way there, I saw more missing ceiling tiles than intact ones, and the walls had holes or sloppy paint. The whole hotel reeked of Raid bug spray as soon as I walked in. I’d booked one night during a flight layover, and this was one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever seen. It needs to be burned to the ground.
It took four days to move me out of room 314, where the smell was sickening, and the staff didn’t seem concerned. I paid $600 for six nights, but the stay wasn’t worth $200. The room was on the third floor and the elevator wasn’t working, which I could live with. The stains on the walls and ceiling and the bathroom door holes covered with duct tape were bad enough, but the toilet didn’t work at all. The advertising is false. I strongly recommend finding somewhere else.
The night shift guy was really friendly and helpful when my daughter kept getting locked out of her room. Cleaning was a problem, though. The same trash stayed on the floor all four days, rooms only get cleaned if you ask the day before, and trash bags left outside the doors smelled awful. There are holes by the vending machines, and only one ice machine works across all four floors and 400 rooms. They don’t actually offer half the amenities listed on the website. I understand the new owners haven’t updated it yet, but it’s still frustrating. My biggest issue was the construction crew arriving at 7:30 a.m., making noise, and getting louder when asked to quiet down. The woman at the desk said there was nothing she could do and told us to buy earplugs. That was rude, and what if an emergency alarm went off and we couldn’t hear it? The website should say the place is under construction and has new owners.
