The Alberta Petite Hotel

The Alberta Petite Hotel is a clean, comfortable, inclusive place, and the Alberta Arts District shops and restaurants are easy to reach on foot. We rented the whole charming house for a long weekend. Check-in was simple, and Robin was proactive and very responsive as host.

After a busy day seeing the sights, this is a comfortable, nicely decorated hotel to return to and spend time together. Great food is within walking distance, and the eclectic neighborhood is fun. It’s also well placed for attractions that you need to drive to. I’d definitely like to come back.

We stayed in the Bamboo room, which faces Alberta street, and slept really well. The bed and linens were so comfortable, and the room had earplugs and a noise-canceling machine to help with the street noise you’d expect on a busy main road. Robin and Brian have made the Alberta Petite Hotel warm and welcoming. Each room has its own charm, and the house is thoughtfully equipped. The kitchen was organized and stocked for continental breakfast, and the friendly staff kept everything spotless while making the place feel relaxed. We loved it and would absolutely stay again.

The Maple Suite was on the basement level and didn’t get much natural light, but the planned lighting made it feel bright, cozy, clean, and useful. Heritage hollyhocks were blooming just outside the window. Robin was gracious when I asked whether the room would work for our special needs, and went out of her way to make it happen. I loved the thoughtful details, including signs around the house explaining the furnishings, neighborhood, house, and owners’ history. The breakfast spread was fresh, varied, delicious, and had something for everyone. I didn’t have time to explore the area, but felt safe and welcome, and it seemed cared for and vibrant. I’m happy to support a local business that’s eco-conscious and inclusive, and highly recommend this lovely place.
