The front desk staff were pleasant, and the room was quiet with a comfortable mattress. Those were the few positives. For $405 on a last-minute booking, I was very unhappy with the condition. The bathroom floor felt sticky and had footprints that might have been left by a previous guest or housekeeping. The comforter was dirty, and the sheets didn’t look or feel fresh. The lack of cleanliness was apparent as soon as we entered the building. We were relieved to stay just one night. The next night, we paid less than half as much for a beautiful oceanfront resort in Ogunquit. Marriott needs to do better.

The rooms are fine, nothing special, but not bad, and the location works well if you have a car. What really stood out was the service. Adrianna in housekeeping is an absolute angel: kind, patient, helpful, and accommodating. I wish I could pack her in my luggage and bring her home so we could be besties. The front desk staff were all kind and as accommodating as they could be. It’s the best customer service I’ve seen.

The free breakfast had lots of choices, and the attendant was very nice. The staff overall were easy to like. A couple of room issues, though: the bathroom fan couldn’t be switched off, and the entry lightbulb was dead.

I haven’t stayed here and now don’t think I will. Our AAU traveling basketball team had its hotel bookings switched, so I called to check whether we were meant to be here this weekend. The woman who answered kept interrupting when I tried to explain. She abruptly asked for my last name. I gave it and spelled it out, and she snapped that she knew how to spell it. I told her there was no need to be rude, then hung up. That was awful customer service before we even got there.

The hotel is clean and the employees are nice. It’s a good location if you have a car. Getting downtown by Uber isn’t too bad, but having a car is better.
